Problem to Solve
- In the new Woodlands Hospital, how should the workflow of the central kitchen be designed so as to maximize its efficiency.
Solution and Notable Contribution
- Developed a simulation model to study the impact of reducing unnecessary activities and operators’ movement in central kitchen workflow to meet design guidelines and service levels recommended by MOH.
